A Modern Bar with a Historical Feel
The Boiler Room is unique in that it actually was the boiler room for the old cigar factory built sometime around 1900. The actual bar has been around since about 1981 and has operated under the same ownership since February 1991. It has since had several renovations, one of which involved the construction of the largest patio in town. The railroad lines that transported goods at one time ran right through the parking lot. Now they are covered up by gravel and rock, but you can still see some of the remains.
Why is Boiler Room “The Place We Call Home?”
Boiler Room Bar has a lot of history and quite a reputation in Owensboro, KY. With live music nightly and numerous big party events, the action never slows down. We are currently booking live entertainment like it’s the winning lottery ticket, and intend to be somewhat of a mini “NashVegas.” We have three bars with nightly drink specials, billiards, and darts upstairs, and a huge outdoor patio and gazebo. Hungry? We grill out for all our food. We are constantly grilling up hotdogs, hamburgers, and brats. We make fresh popcorn daily and have pretzels available for snacking!
Whether you’re a Kentucky native, or just passing through Owensboro, there’s always a seat for you at Boiler Room Bar. So grab your friends and stop by for a round or two!
